The Ballerina II ~ New Ballet Painting today~

The Ballerina II
8" x 10"
Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
~Sold~

Just finished The Ballerina II~ this painting is available for purchase in my EBSQart.com gallery and in my Etsy.com store. There are two more ballerina paintings in progress in the studio. There is a ballerina in red- I just picked up a fabulous new red paint from Cheap Joe's in Charlotte, I had to try it out! The other new painting is two little dancers warming up. Hopefully, these will be finished by next week.

There are just a few more days of my vacation, I am trying to make good use of my painting time, but there are so many "incidentals" that need to be attended to before I get back into the routine of the nine to five job-get the oil changed in the car, clean up the yard from the last storm, finish the laundry.......so much to do.

Time to go paint~

Getting back in the swing of things, two new paintings are now available for purchase in my Etsy.com store and my EBSQart.com gallery. There is a new larger version of "The Swan" painting and a new small pear painting.

There will be two more small ballerina paintings and I am currently working on my paintings for the Ripped Off show next month at EBSQart.com. The Ripped Off show is always great fun and I am attempting to paint a "nekked" lady. I don't do that very often, so this should be interesting.

California Poppies IV and Summer Vegetables

California Poppies IV
30" x 40"
Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
~ Sold~

Just finished the large commissioned California Poppies painting. It was fun to look at this version and the 2005 version that I painted for myself that hangs in my guest room. My technique has changed a bit over the years. This painting will be moving to its new home in Arkansas by the end of the week.

Up Next!

I have been too busy lately to participate in the "Different Strokes from Different Folks" painting challenge lately, but today I am working on the current challenge "Summer Vegetables". Check back again soon to see the completed painting. It will be an 8" x 10" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

The family has begun arriving for my birthday. Mom flew in yesterday from Texas, Bonnie will be here Wednesday from California. Kevin will be home from Chicago on Tuesday (I can't wait--Hi Kevin!) The children will be home Wednesday from Chapel Hill and Waynesville--This is going to be the best birthday ever!

Have a wonderful Monday~
