The weekend is almost here! I love weekends--lots of painting to do. I do have to go to Charlotte to pick up canvas on Saturday. I have a commission that requires a special canvas.

I will be starting a landscape this weekend. It will be posted by Monday if I like it.

I am in the mood to paint something different.....a departure from what I usually do, I just haven't decided what it is yet. Among the possibilities...portraits, horses....cows....you can tell I am getting homesick for Texas when I start painting western art.

I have not painted pears in a while. I was really pleased with the way this one turned out. There are days where things just come together and you don't want to stop to sleep or eat, because the ideas and ability may not be there when you come back.

This is the photo reference that was used to paint Two Pears. I really don't know how my brain took the two green and red pears above and turned it into this.......but, I hope it remembers how... I do believe art comes from both skill, god-given talent, and dumb luck.
