FULL OF HOPE

Full of Hope
24" x 30"
Acrylic Paint on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Collection of the Artist

I'm back!  How many times over the years I have said this.  Now is the time--I have waited years to paint full time and enjoy my art adventure.  I retired in June and hit the ground running.  I have completed three shows and am working at getting back to daily painting full time!

I am now on the board of the Guild of Charlotte Artists and having the time of my life.

Full of Hope was created for the Myers Park United Methodist Church Gallery opening.  I love how the painting turned out and is one of my favorites.  I have decided to keep this one for a while.

You can purchase prints of the painting at Fine Art America.com

I am not quite back up to painting.  I am cleaning up my studio and completing some commissioned work and then the fun will begin!

Thank you all for continuing to follow my work.

Current works available can be found at my website www.torriesmiley.com

Time for the 30 in 30! 30-Paintings in September Day - 1

Robin's Blue Eggs IV
4" x 6"
Acrylic Paint on Watercolor Paper
Collection of the Artist

It is that time again!  30 Paintings in 30 Days in September with Leslie Saeta.  I have participated in this adventure for several years.....never really getting farther than day 20. Completing a painting everyday can be a challenge when the real world continues to demand equal time.

I have started this adventure with a small bird nest painting.  I love painting nests almost as much as painting pears!  I picked out a special bird cage frame at the art store and had to then paint something special to go in it.  I chose to paint on paper as it would be easier to slip into the frame.  I know I said it was in the artist's collection, but I am giving it to my daughter who already has a spot for it in her foyer.

Tomorrow's painting~  A small colorful pear.....what else!

In the coming days look for avocado's, lemons, flowers, landscapes, and whatever comes to mind! Have a wonderful evening and I will see you on Day 2!

Thank you for stopping by~

I have been in the mood to paint bird nests lately, must have been the Spring ~. I am almost finished with the newest nest painting - on a red background (I think inspired by the current heat wave).

These paintings are currently available for purchase in my Website Gallery and my Etsy.com store.

It seems whenever I say I have finished commissions and will be painting whatever pops into my head~ then I get more commissions. I am currently working on three~ after that, I will be painting whatever pops into my head.. ... HA!

I have started a small painting of the geraniums on my porch for the Challenge Painting blog. Hopefully, this will be finished by the end of the weekend.
