Day 10, but not painting #10 HA! Martini, Stirred XI

Martini, Stirred XI
8" x 10"
Acrylic Paint on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
~Sold~

Day Ten of the 30 paintings in 30 days with Leslie Saeta.  I love painting martinis almost as much as drinking them!  Time to put the vodka away and get busy!!  I am so many paintings behind on the 30 in 30.  This is actually the sixth painting for me~

Martini, Stirred XI was painted using professional artist grade acrylic paint on a museum quality gallery wrapped canvas with painted sides to allow for display without a frame. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish.

This painting has sold.

I have no clue what to paint for tomorrow~

Drunk Daisies

Drunk Daisies
5" x 7"
Acrylic Paint on Ampersand Claybord
~Sold~

This is a painting I have wanted to do for some time and just got around to it~  The joys of college-age children....Kevin was given flowers for his birthday from Taylor.....in a Jagermeister bottle.  They looked so cute sitting on the bar I knew it had to be a painting.

Drunk Daisies was painted using professional artist grade acrylic paint on Ampersand Claybord. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish. This painting can be slipped into a frame or placed on a small easel.

This painting has sold.

I have finished the large commissioned nest painting and now just painting for fun...kind of.  I have been asked to paint more cupcakes, so that is coming up next.  I will be painting a portrait by the end of the week....yes, I don't do that much, but this one is for a DailyPaintworks Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by~

Martini, Stirred X ~ Finally Finished It!

Martini, Stirred X
16" x 20"
Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
~Sold~

Finally finished~ I don't know why I took so long to finish this martini painting. I guess I was just waiting to be inspired. It didn't take long to finish once I got started.
A colorful swirling martini set off by a black background. A combination of reds, blues, and greens in a tall chilled glass with a big ripe olive in the middle.

Martini, Stirred X was painted using professional artist grade acrylic paint on a gallery wrapped museum quality canvas with painted sides. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish.

This painting has sold. To see more paintings currently available for purchase, please visit my website gallery or my Etsy.com Store.

So much to do, so little time, getting the kids off to school. Remember when that meant new clothes and book bags, now it is apartments, furniture, getting bicycles fixed and cars serviced. It is going to be quiet around the house again.

I will be painting in between all the chaos....check back again soon.

Vodka Martini, New Daily Painting

Vodka Martini
5" x 7"
Oil on Canvas Panel
~SOLD~

This is a new daily painting. I admit I am struggling trying to keep up with daily painting, commissions, and the real job. But, things will get better once I get into the routine. There are so many things I want to paint, inspiration is not the problem...it is the "only 24-hours in a day" thing. I really need about five more!

The new Vodka Martini painting is currently available for purchase in my online gallery at EBSQart.com and in my Etsy.com store.

I am currently finishing up the Red Sugar Bowl painting and I am in the process of a large poppy landscape. I have not neglected my Different Strokes for Different Folks, it is in the beginning stages.

Well, off to the studio!

Pomegranate Martini~~

Pomegranate Martini
6" x 8"
Oil on Canvas Panel

Continuing with the pomegranates~~ Pomegranate Martini. I have had so much fun with the pomegranate paintings. This will be the last one for now. I have some commissions to complete. One just happens to be a pomegranate, then I will finish the Red Sugar Bowl to go with the Red Creamer. Pomegranate Martini is available for purchase in all the same places including my Etsy Store and my online gallery.

I have recently joined with Daily Painters Marketplace. It is a blog with several other artists who are painting daily and selling the paintings online. This is a huge step for me, a commitment to paint everyday. I am going to try my best! If I can just keep the "real life" out of the way.

Well, Happy Friday to everyone! I am going to play catch up this weekend and try to get everything done.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spam Martini~~ My entry in the Spam and Trout Show

Spam Martini

8" x 10" Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

This is my entry into the "Spam and Trout Show" at EBSQart.com . I had not planned on entering, but then the idea popped into my head and I put in on canvas. Check out the show, this is a fun one!

If you are interested in purchasing my Spam Martini, it will be available for sale only at EBSQart.com at the link above. If I put it on other websites away from the show, people may think I have gone a bit "nuts" with the martini art.

I have also started a small landscape for the "Queen Anne's Lace Show", I hope I get it finished in time. The need for "home repairs" is taking over. Courtney came home to visit this weekend and immediately noticed the cover over the back porch was collapsing....how did I miss that.... I guess that means ~~ladder, nails, hammer, caulking gun, paint, Ben gay, bed rest, Advil~~I should knock it out in about a week! HA!!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the Spam Martini and check back again soon!

Here is the finished commissioned painting. It is funny how you get into the studio and paintings just happen. This is the only thing I have been working on lately. Hopefully, I will get back into the studio with renewed inspiration and energy.

Next up, I have been working on a still life using my orchid that recently bloomed and my grandmother's china. It is a small study, 8" x 10" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

It seems there is just not enough hours in the day. Check back again soon. I know I will be up to something.
