Refreshments

The Mystery Artist Show and Sale in Shelby, North Carolina was so much fun. I love participating in the event and will be there again next year.

I spent the weekend in Chapel Hill, NC visiting with Courtney and wandering around taking pictures. I take my camera everywhere and take reference photos for future paintings. There will be some fun ones coming up soon.

Today, I will be finishing my last commission that should have been done several months ago, then I will be finishing paintings that have been on the easel for a while. Ballerinas, pears, flowers~

Have a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by~

Hi Honey, I'm Home!

Back from the Beach!

Me and my fabulous new camera are home from the beach. I took this picture from my fifth floor hotel room balcony of the birds on the beach. I had a marvelous time. The staff at the Patricia Grand Resort were very nice and the three days went by too fast! I took several pictures of children playing in the surf and on the beach. There will be watercolors of the vacation coming soon.

The baby is coming home for two weeks from Chapel Hill before she starts the summer classes. We will be grilling out and bonding before she leaves home again. She will also bring home great new ideas for paintings.

Well, I better get going. 250+ emails to catch up on and tons of sandy laundry.

Thanks for stopping by!

New Cherries Series

New Watercolor Cherries

Cherries Series Nine

Cherries Series Ten

Cherries Series Eleven
The new cherries series will be listed later today on eBay. They are 5" x 7" on 300 lb Arches watercolor paper.
I have spent the day shopping in Charlotte for fun new art stuff with Miranda. We had a blast. I have never laughed to hard... it started with getting lost; then I bought the biggest canvas 36" x 60"--it did not fit in the car.....Bobbie will be bringing it home from Charlotte later this week in the truck......I could not help myself--the canvas was on sale! I have no clue what will be painted, but it will be big!
The vacation is going great! I am exhausted and ready to go back to work so I can rest. I did not get half done that I wanted to do, but the list did get shorter.
I will be going to Chapel Hill tomorrow to take Courtney back to school. It was nice to have her home. After that, I will have one vacation day left.... to work on the "to do" list.
Well, I am off to the art studio to put away my new treasures.
